McGill Robotics is a student-run organization founded in 2013 by twenty engineering students, that counts about 200 members, coming from a variety of different faculties. They have constructed working models that have been in numerous competitions.
As part of their presentation, which will include slides depicting their involvement in battles, a few of their robotic designs will be on display and at least one will be functioning.
Two members of the McGill Robotics team will be our hosts for this session: Todd Scrimgeour
is entering his fourth year of Mechanical Engineering at McGill. He has more than four years of experience with McGill Robotics. Todd was part of the group that started the McGill Robotics Design Team. He has worked at every level and done every job on the mechanical side of the robot and is now the Project Manager.
Olivier Lamarre is a fourth year engineering student who has been with Robotics McGill since its inception. He has been an active participant directly involved in the competitions in which the team has taken part and he is now a Project Manager.
